Terms of service

The service

Critic synchronizes code changes from GitHub, stores explanations and discussions, and routes questions to connected coding agents. GitHub remains the authority for repository state, review decisions, and merges. Critic does not guarantee that an explanation or coding-agent answer is correct.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be able to enter a binding agreement and must provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for promptly revoking a device or connection you no longer control.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the repositories you connect, the material you publish, and the actions you take after reading generated content. You must not access data without permission, disrupt the service, evade security controls, distribute malware, overload the service, or use Critic to infringe another person's rights or violate law.

Connected services

GitHub, OpenAI, Anthropic, and other connected services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. You are responsible for the accounts, permissions, and charges associated with those services. Critic is not responsible for their availability or conduct.

Availability and changes

The service may change, experience interruptions, or stop supporting a feature. Plugin updates are delivered through the native plugin systems operated by OpenAI and Anthropic. Active coding-agent tasks may continue using the version they already loaded until a new task or provider reload.

Your content and feedback

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Critic the limited rights needed to host, process, display, and transmit that content to provide, secure, and improve the service. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit it. Feedback may be used without restriction or obligation to you.

Critic software

Critic's hosted service, branding, and non-public software remain proprietary. The thin public plugin package is licensed separately under the Apache License 2.0. No other rights are granted except the limited right to use the service under these terms.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Critic at any time. Critic may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risk, legal requirements, nonpayment, or a material breach of these terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

Disclaimers and liability

Critic and generated content are provided as available without warranties to the extent permitted by law. You must review code, explanations, and agent answers before relying on them. To the extent permitted by law, Critic is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or business opportunities.

To the extent permitted by law, Critic's total liability for all claims related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid for Critic during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so those limitations apply only to the extent allowed.
